Behavioral Health Provider
The Behavioral Health Provider serves as a member of the Wahpikisik Integrated Health (WINH) outpatient treatment team, delivering comprehensive behavioral health services using a biopsychosocial and spiritual model of care. This role focuses on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions while supporting patients in achieving their health goals through collaborative, team-based, and culturally responsive care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling services
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Identify and manage patients at risk for suicide, including care coordination and monitoring
- Serve as a behavioral health consultant to medical providers for integrated care and crisis intervention
- Facilitate referrals and transitions to higher levels of care when needed
- Document care in the electronic health record in accordance with policy and timelines
- Educate patients and community on mental health, substance use, and prevention strategies
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement activities
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable federal, state, and tribal regulations
- Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field
- Licensed or license-eligible in Montana (e.g., LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or candidate status such as PCLC/LSW)
- Fully licensed independent behavioral health provider (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT)
- At least one (1) year of experience providing mental health services in a clinical or community setting
- Experience with integrated, team-based care models
- Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Experience supervising licensure candidates (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of and respect for tribal culture, traditions, and community values
