Certified Pharmacy Technician
The Pharmacy Technician provides essential support to pharmacists by preparing, dispensing, and managing medications, maintaining accurate inventory and records, and assisting with insurance and billing processes. This role ensures efficient pharmacy operations, supports regulatory compliance (including controlled substances and 340B program requirements), and helps pharmacists focus on clinical patient care. The Pharmacy Technician is integral to delivering safe, timely, and patient-centered healthcare services within the facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintain medication inventory, including 340B program compliance and expiration tracking.
- Process prescriptions, assist with prior authorizations, and support insurance billing.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and tribal regulations, including controlled substances.
- Support pharmacists in clinical tasks, medication reconciliation, and patient counseling.
- Operate pharmacy systems and automated dispensing equipment efficiently.
- Promote patient safety and quality care through accurate dispensing and error reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High Schoool Diploma
- Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in health center pharmacy operations
- 1-2 years of customer service experience
