Injury Prevention Coordinator
The Public Health Injury Prevention Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating injury prevention strategies with a primary focus on fa!I prevention among Elders. This position manages the IHS Tribal Injury Prevention Cooperative Agreement Program (TlPCAP) and works collaboratively across departments and with community partners.
Major Duties:
- Coordinate and implement injury prevention strategies
- Conduct and coordinate home safety assessments and modifications
- Manage TIPCAP grant requirements, reporting, and compliance
- Convene and facilitate Injury Prevention Coalition meetings
- Collect, analyze, and report injury prevention data
- Collaborate with Home Health, Environmental Health, and community partners
- Associate's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Environmental Health, Health Education, Social Work, Construction or related field
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in public health, community health, injury prevention, or residential construction
- Valid Montana Driver's License
- Ability to travel for required trainings and meetings
